HONG KONG, 16 September 2019 – The Small-Order Gallery and Networking Hub are making their debut at Asia’s Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair – September (9FJ), which kicks off today at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE). The event is held concurrently with the biggest fine jewellery marketplace in the world – the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.
Scheduled for September 16 to 19 in Hall 2 of AWE, 9FJ brings together around 250 established manufacturers, up-and-coming design talents and artisanal brands in one of the region’s top fashion jewellery and accessories sourcing events.
“With its high concentration of design talents, and fashion jewellery and accessories manufacturers, 9FJ provides an exciting space where attendees can connect with industry leaders, influencers and creatives,” says Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets. “This event also offers professional buyers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the palettes, shapes and styles that would be defining the fashion jewellery and accessories market in Spring/Summer 2020 and beyond.”
The B2B fair’s signature attractions are anchor pavilions featuring suppliers from China, India, Korea, the Philippines and the Taiwan region; Designer Atelier; Stainless Steel Jewellery Pavilion (including Men’s Jewellery); Fashion Accessories Zone, and the Editor’s Choice product preview. Some of the design trends that are anticipated to make waves at the show are collections using sumptuous floral centrepieces and animal-themed charms, handwoven accessories embellished with beads and organic materials, and contemporary stainless steel jewellery set with crystals, freshwater pearls and natural stones.
New to the show is the Small-Order Gallery, a space dedicated to exhibitors who are offering collections that are available for purchase in smaller quantities.
Another addition is the Networking Hub, a space within 9FJ that encourages collaboration, learning and innovation.
“We have rounded up experts who will share their insights and studies on topics encompassing design directions, colour trends and 3D printing technologies,” Lau shares.
“We also have buzz-worthy sessions focusing on visual merchandising strategies that are tied to a seller’s social media channels, and targeted social media marketing. Clearly, these topics are timely and relevant to those who are serious about growing their fashion jewellery and accessories business.”

Introducing: SEASONS
The strength of Informa Markets’ Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fairs portfolio is reflected in its brand transformation. At 9FJ, the global platform is launching the new brand identity of its fashion jewellery and accessories sourcing events: SEASONS | Spring – Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair in March and SEASONS | Autumn – Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair in September.
“The SEASONS brand reflects who we are,” says David Bondi, Senior Vice President – Asia at Informa Markets. “It serves as a more powerful platform for expressing our core calling, which is to stay fresh, relevant and collaborative in a changing market.”
The visual elements of the new brand consist of clean, modern typography, and the hues representing the show months – red for the warmth of Spring and blue for the coolness of Autumn.
The new name of the fair itself – SEASONS – hints of change, newness and trends. It also alludes to the style calendar, and the relationship between fashion, and jewellery and accessories.
In 2020, SEASONS | Spring will be slated for March 3 to 6 while SEASONS | Autumn will be scheduled for September 13 to 16. Both editions will be held at the AWE.
“I believe that SEASONS is more than a brand revisit; this is a totally revisited show concept, modern and focused on the latest trends in the fashion jewellery and accessories world. It has a new floor plan, a new hosted buyers’ programme, and a new panel of conferences on trends and market opportunities,” added Bondi.
The rebranded global jewellery marketplace will debut in Spring with a new floor plan layout, including “In Season”– a space designed for meaningful networking. Pavilions will be named after the products they carry, namely Modern Metal, Steel Glam, Natural Beauty, Fashion Accents, The Artisans and That’s A Wrap!
